Our Care
Care designed around each person
At Belmont Castle we offer three types of care, each delivered with the same commitment to dignity, warmth and genuine attention to the individual. Whatever the level of support your loved one needs, the starting point is always the same: getting to know the person first.
Residential Care
Long-term residential care in a warm, home-from-home environment. We support residents with daily living, meals, personal care and activities, while encouraging as much independence as each person wishes to maintain.

Our specialist dementia care offers a calm, safe and structured environment designed around the needs of people living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Every member of our team receives specialist dementia training.

Short-term stays at Belmont Castle give family carers essential time to rest, while ensuring their loved one receives excellent care in comfortable, familiar surroundings. Stays of any length can be arranged.

We run a home, not a hospital
Good care is not about routines and rotas. It is about knowing how somebody likes their tea, which of them sleeps better with the landing light on, and what they did for a living long before they came to us.
Every resident has a care plan built around them and a named key worker who takes a personal interest in their wellbeing. We review, we adapt, and we keep families closely involved at every step. The result is care that feels less like a service and more like family.
Training & Qualifications

First aid & safeguarding

Questions families ask us about care
The things we get asked most when a family is first looking into care. If your question isn't here, just call the team.
How do I know which type of care my relative needs?
You do not need to work that out on your own. Our team will carry out a free, no-obligation assessment and talk you through whether residential, dementia or respite care is the right fit. If we are not the right home, we will tell you honestly.
Can I visit before making any decision?
Absolutely, and we encourage it. You are welcome to visit Belmont Castle, look around every part of the home, meet the team and stay as long as you like. There is never any pressure or obligation.
How quickly can a room be arranged?
It depends on availability and your relative's needs, but we move as quickly as you need us to. For urgent situations, including hospital discharges and respite, we will do everything we can to help at short notice.
Can my relative bring their own belongings?
Yes. Every room is a private space that belongs to its resident. We actively encourage personal furniture, photographs, ornaments and anything else that makes the room feel like home.
Are visitors welcome at any time?
Family and friends are always welcome, and there are no set visiting hours. We only ask that you try to avoid mealtimes, which are 12.30pm to 2pm and 5pm to 6.30pm, unless you would like to stay and eat with your relative, which you are very welcome to do. We are also happy to arrange a quiet space for private family time whenever it is needed.
Can we bring the dog, and can my relative keep a pet?
Visiting dogs are very welcome, and we only ask that they are friendly and kept on a lead throughout. No resident currently keeps a pet here permanently, but we would always be happy to talk it through: it comes down to a risk assessment for the individual animal and the home, so please ask us rather than assume the answer is no.
Is Belmont Castle regulated and inspected?
Yes. Belmont Castle is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission. The home was rated Good across all five inspection areas at its last inspection in 2021, when it was run by a previous provider, London Residential Healthcare Limited. Following a change of ownership the home is newly registered and awaiting its first inspection under the current registration. The 2021 report is available to read online.
Not sure which type of care is right?
Call us or book a visit. We'll talk it through honestly and help you work out the best next step.
